What this story is about
Where distribution orders actually get lost.
A retailer's voice note, a salesman's diary, a phone call, Tally, the warehouse. The order changed at every hand-off and the truck came back on Thursday. Most businesses don't need more automation. They need their apps to talk first.
What I'd run for a distributor: voice notes turned into order drafts, a readback before anything is packed, orders straight into Tally, dispatch and payment updates, and a reorder radar.
Comment USUAL and I'll map where your orders fall through.
That's season one. Tell me your business in the comments and I'll take the next case.
The first message we would send
Happy to map it. Reply with three things: 1. How retailers send orders today (WhatsApp voice notes, calls, the salesman's diary, an app) 2. What you run for billing and stock (Tally, Busy, Marg, Excel) 3. Roughly how many orders a day I'll send back a one-page map of your order flow with the gaps marked, and which one to close first.

This order went through four places. Then it vanished.
Monday, nine twelve a.m. A retailer sends a voice note. Twenty cases of the usual.
The salesman hears it between two shop visits. Writes it in his diary.
That evening, he reads it out to the office. The office types it into Tally.
But the usual changed last month. Wrong pack size.
The warehouse packs it anyway. Thursday, the retailer rejects the truck.
Nobody lost this order. It fell between apps.
Here's how I'd see it. The voice note becomes an order draft in seconds.
The usual gets matched to his last three orders. And before it reaches Tally, I ask one question.
One question on Monday. Instead of a rejected truck on Thursday.
Here's what I'd run for a distributor.
Voice notes and WhatsApp orders, turned into clean order drafts.
A readback to the retailer, before anything gets packed.
Straight into Tally. No retyping.
Dispatch updates, and payment reminders with the invoice attached.
And a reorder radar. Who usually orders by now, but hasn't.
All on WhatsApp, connected to Tally and the sheets they already use.
Most businesses don't need more automation.
They need their apps to talk first.
That's season one. Tell me your business in the comments. I'll take the next case.

Composite story, names changed. Figures for the gym, clinic and CA cases are illustrative, not client results. vv is coming soon and nothing here promises a result.
